Dr Mitchell Haines

GP Registrar

Dr Mitchell is a dedicated and compassionate doctor with a strong commitment to holistic, patient-centered care. Originally from Southeast Melbourne, he completed his medical degree at Monash University before relocating to Queensland in 2022.

During his time in Queensland, Dr Mitchell developed a deep appreciation for rural and regional healthcare through placements in Mackay, Charters Towers, Bowen, and Hughenden. These experiences cemented his passion for primary care and community health. In 2024, he moved to Townsville and worked at Townsville University Hospital, further broadening his clinical experience.

In 2025, Dr Mitchell began his training as a General Practice registrar, with a special interest in skin health and dermatology. He is passionate about building long-term relationships with his patients and providing comprehensive care across all stages of life.

Outside of work, Dr Mitchell enjoys playing basketball and spending quality time with his partner and their much-loved pet.
